Ever since Elaine Creations Co. started, I have always been looking to expand my crafting skills so naturally, I gravitated towards sewing. It honestly is much harder than it looks!
Besides my love of crafting, I also have a hobby of thrift shopping. I have been very lucky over the years finding some crafting supplies thrifting, but overall the best purchase I have made was at a local Re-Uzit Store where I found my Rocketeer Singer sewing machine dating back to the 1960s. I paid about $20 for it and got it professionally serviced to make sure everything was in order. Lucky for me, the machine was in sound condition.
I picked up some patterns of projects I knew I wanted to make, one of which includes this adorable elephant pillow! My mom helped me make this little guy. (Bless her for her patience!)
I have to say sewing is much harder than it originally looks, but the end result is so worth it! I am considering starting a few creations for sale with projects made by sewing machine. I am going to continue to practice these sewing skills and get some creations going for you all!
